Peacefully at his home, surrounded by family and friends, James “Gerry” O’Neill of Greenfield; age 83 years. Beloved husband of Linda O’Neill (née Diamant). Cherished father of Desi, Paula (Peter), Gerry (Moira) and Ciaran (Anne Marie). Predeceased by his parents Mary McDaid and Samuel O’Neill. Dear brother of the late Hugh, late Myra, Eileen, Mary, late Samuel Jr., Alice, Olivia, Philamena, Marie (Hugo), Frankie (Mary), late Petchie, Delia and Gretta (Phillip). Cherished grandfather of Steve, Rachel, Liam, Gerard, Feidhlim, Aidan, Stephen, Mark, Adam, Jessica, Kenneth, Ethan, Kayla, Laura, Ciara and Michael; Great-grandfather of Ben, Ciaran, Sam and Lily. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, musicians and music lovers the world over. As per Gerry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be held in Ireland at a later date.
