It is with great sadness we announce the passing of James Earl Longjohn, late of Sturgeon Lake, SK on August 11th, 2022, at the age of 82 years. James was born on October 23rd, 1939, in Sturgeon Lake, SK to Jacob and Alice Longjohn. James will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife Sylvia; his children Fred, Cindy (Murray), Marsha (Malcolm), Pamela (Dale), Allan (Virginia), Christopher (Arlene), Keith (Tina), Rhonda (Robert), Debbie, & Tamara; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; his grandchildren that he raised Larrisa, Alice, & Malcolm Longjohn Jr.; his sisters Bertha, Faye (Stanley), & Laverne; his brothers Robin (Philomina), & Orville (Geraldine); as well as numerous other family and friends. James was predeceased by his parents Jacob & Alice; his sons Darryl, Dwayne, & Joseph; his daughters Grace, & Leslie-Ann; his brothers Napoleon, Hubert, William, David, & Allan; his sisters Lena, & Rosalie; his sisters-in-law Catherine, & Yvonne; as well as numerous other family and friends. The Wake Service will be Saturday, August 13th, 2022, at 5:30 PM at the Sturgeon Lake Community Center in Sturgeon Lake, SK. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 15th, 2022, at 2 PM at the Sturgeon Lake Community Center in Sturgeon Lake, SK. The Officiants will be Community Elders. The Drummers will be Young Eagle Cree. The Honourary Pallbearers are Henry Felix, Alex Felix, Howard Badger, Mike Daniels, Lindsay Longjohn, Orville Longjohn, and all those who knew and loved James. The Pallbearers are Murray Holmes, Floyd Felix, Malcolm Moosehunter, Gary Frenchman, Brian Longjohn, & Leslie Naytowhow. The Interment will be held at West Central Cemetery in Sturgeon Lake, SK.
