Jacqueline Mabel Helen McNie Clappison 2022

The family of Jacqueline Clappison (McNie, Ryckman) would like to share with friends that she passed away on August 6, 2022 after a lengthy illness.
Beloved by her family: son Stephen McNie, daughters Judy Green (Jim) and Heather Blackmore (John), and grandchildren Cory Green, Laura and Sophie Blackmore. She will be dearly missed by her many friends who together created memories and laughter over the years.
Jackie was born in Montreal and grew up in the Mist family (Charles, Mae, Bennett, and Judy Fleming). She loved life and children. She was a teacher in Toronto and Barrie, and was one of the first female principals in Simcoe County. As she did in her teaching, her many passions inspired others. She was an accomplished watercolour artist, musician, and life-long learner. More than anything, she loved being with people – at home or on her travel adventures.
Special thanks to Janet Kirk, and the many wonderful caregivers. Donations in memory of Jackie can be made to The Alzheimer’s Society of Simcoe County.
We are celebrating Jackie’s life at Collier Street United Church on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. Visitation will take place from 10 -11 am in the church hall, with a service in the sanctuary at 11 am. Reception to follow.
There will be a private interment at a later date at St. James on-the-Lines in Penetang. Online condolences and memories may be left at www.steckleygooderham.com
