Ivo Brosterhus January 6 1956 – December 14 2022

After a long battle with Parkinsons, Ivo passed away peacefully on December the 14th at the age of 66.
He is survived by his family Pat Brosterhus, Amanda (Kel) Wallace, Rebecca da Silva and
grandchildren Allianna, Jace and River Keough.
Born in Germany, Ivo moved with his parents to Canada settling in Victoria BC at age 9. He attended Doncaster Elementary and graduated in 1975 from Oak Bay Senior High. Ivo was active in the AV club and was known to be called upon to “fix it Ivo”. It was no surprise when he moved on to manage a business machine repair shop in the Smithers/Telkwa area. Here he continued with a career of “fixing it” for several years and was chosen to participate in his companies Canada wide “business machine olympics” winning a silver medal with his team.
With an avid interest in travel and photography, Ivo traveled around the world taking beautiful photos. In this vein he finished his career working in a photo lab in Port Alberni before once again returning to Victoria to be closer to his family. Ivo had a great love for animals, fishing and boats.
Thank you to the wonderful caring staff at the Priory and to the VIHA home care staff whose excellent help carried him through this journey.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.
