It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Ivan Peter Hynes of St. Bernard’s announces his passing. Ivan passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Thursday, April 21st, 2022, at the age of 66.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his sisters, Cecilia (Ron) Banfield, Betty (Barry) Noble, Pearl (Andrey) Gagnon; brother, Frank (Essie) Hynes, sister in-law, Zita Hynes; a large circle of nieces & nephews; his caregivers and the staff at U.S. Memorial Health Care Centre & Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre.; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Ivan was predeceased by parents, Peter & Ann Hynes; brother, Gerard, infant brother, Peter; brother in-law, Harold..
The Hynes Family will be accepting visitors at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church – St. Bernard’s on Saturday and Sunday, April 23rd & 24th, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm., 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral service will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic on Monday, April 25th, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery – St. Bernard’s.
In Ivan’s memory donations may be made to Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery Fund, St. Bernard’s or Recreation Committee, St. Bernard’s/Jacques Fontaine.
