Mary Sarah Isobel Clancy (McClave) passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Center, Cornwall on June 7th, 2022 in her 99th year. Predeceased by her parents John Archie McClave and Bertha Beattie, Isobel was the last living member of her family. Predeceasing her were her brothers Lloyd, John and Stuart (Kay Maloney) and sisters Mary Ellen McInthosh (Anthony) and Cecilia McPhail (Kenneth). She was the beloved wife of the late Aloysius Clancy. Their family grew over the years to include 6 children, 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren with another one on the way. Ann Hoy (late Clifford) – Clancy Hoy (Patty) (their children Abby and Xavier, Patrick Hoy (Kim) (their children Maggie and Allison), Frances Rose (John) – Carrie Seguin (Pete) (their children Xandre, Joab and Eli) , Shelley Benn (Scott) (their children Izzy and Hannah), Colleen McKiver (Jim) -Willie, Mary Ann, Glen McKiver (Chelsea) (their children Claire and Henry), the late Emmett Clancy and the late Mary Rioux (Ghislain) – Aimie, Marie-France, Brigitte and Jeff Delay (their child Maya) and Jacques, Nora Templeton (John) – Matthew and Laura Templeton (their children Anna, Audrey, Alice), Craig and Leigh Templeton, Kaylee and Natalie. Mom’s faith was important to her. She was a C.W.L member for 60 years. She loved to go to mass as often as possible and receive the Eucharist. She relied on her love of the Holy Family to carry her through each day and taught her family the importance of staying connected with God. Mom loved her family and nothing made her happier than when family gathered for special occasions or just to visit and have a game of cards. She appreciated calls and visits from her nieces and nephews. Because Mom was with us for many years her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren experienced her kindness, gentleness, acceptance of the events of life. We are all blessed to have known her love and wisdom. We will miss her physical presence but know she is still with us spiritually and are grateful to God for his goodness in having given us this special person in our lives. Visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Friday June 10th, 2022 from 1 pm to 3 pm and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, June 11th, 2022 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 11th, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s West Parish. Followed by interment in parish cemetery.
