Iris Caroline Hawe nee Stirman 1925 2022

Obituary of Iris Caroline Hawe (nee Stirman)
Our dear Iris, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family and dear friend Lisa. Iris loved her family, music and dancing. As an avid sports fan, she adored her beloved Blue Jays, Leafs and Raptors- honestly, we do not think she ever missed a game! She loved hosting and attending a good party with her friends and family.
Beloved wife of the late Captain (Toronto District Fire Department) Andrew Hawe; they are together once again. Cherished mother of Barbara (Robert) and Carol (late Larry) and devoted Nanna of Jen (Corey), Michelle, Caitlin (Luke) and Alison (Rory). Great Nanna to Liam, Marah, Jordan, Atticus and Arlo. Iris will also be dearly missed by her niece Marilyn, sisters in law, Mary and Norma, her many nieces and nephews and good friends both young and old.
Following cremation, a family gathering will take place at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Iris may be made to Doctors Without Borders Canada
And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, I’ll say it clear
I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain
I’ve lived a life that’s full
I travelled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way
-Frank Sinatra, My Way

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Iris
