Born on December 10, 1927 in St. Anne’s-on-the Sea in England, Irene married David Leslie Skippon and moved to the Channel Islands in 1966. She loved to travel, enjoying many wonderful family holidays in Switzerland, France and Spain. In 1979 the family moved to Victoria, B.C, Canada in search of new opportunities for their son David. Irene was a woman of many talents… cooking, gardening, golfing, hiking, tennis, woodworking, ukulele, knitting and painting. She could do it all. As a member of the Royal Colwood Golf Club from 1989 to 2014 she met many dear friends. Preceded in death by her brother Peter Snape, sister Jean Jury and husband.
A celebration of Irene’s life will be held in the Sequoia Center at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, this Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM.
