Hendry, Irene Evelyn (nee Cox) passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 13, 2022, at Muskoka Shores Care Community in Gravenhurst in her 86th year. Irene, beloved wife of the late Norman (2018). Loving mother of Douglas (Lois), Norm, Robert (Donna Potter), John, Jane, and Ann Hendry. Forever cherished in the hearts of her 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Irene is survived by her brothers Bill (Karen) and Ron (Eve) Cox, predeceased by her brother James Cox (Barbra), sisters Barbara Osburn (Earl) and Katherine (Robert) Rawn. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Irene had an adventurous spirit; she was an avid bingo player and she loved spending time and making memories with the family camping. Many people will cherish the quilts that she made or remember her delicious preserves. Those that knew Irene would say, you always knew exactly what she was thinking, she had a wonderful loving heart, and she will be deeply missed. Family and friends will be received for visitation at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel on Monday September 19, 2022, from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Georgian Triangle may be made in Irene’s memory.
