Dieppe, N.-B. – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lucie LeBlanc, 88, on November 6, 2022, after a short battle with cancer.
Born on February 12, 1934, in Scoudouc, she was the daughter of the late Felicien and the late Crescence (Bourque) Richard.
Lucie was the last surviving member of her family. She was married to the late Evariste LeBlanc. She worked as an office cleaner at Assumption Place in the 70’s and 80’s. She would come home from work to her waiting cats. She loved cats and music. Lucie also enjoyed crochet and had a booth at Victoria Park’s Craft Show for 39 years. She was also a good cook and famous for her homemade beans, meat pies, clam chowders, to name a few. A true Montreal Canadian fan, she loved watching hockey with sometimes three T.V.’s at the same time during playoffs. She enjoyed playing “dealer’s choice poker” with the gang, bingo and playing guitar.
Lucie will be deeply missed by her children: Eugene of Dieppe, Leopold (Sherry Eagle’s) of Moncton, Gisele Gauvin (James Terrio), Jeannine Saulnier (Andre) and Jean, all of Dieppe. Her grandchildren: Marcia Perry (Darren), Luc Gauvin (Michelle), Marc LeBlanc (Mel Poirier), Jason Stiles and Samuel LeBlanc (Annabelle Boudreau). Greatgrandchildren: Nikita, Eric, Brady and Chloe. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings: Doris Boudreau (late Moreno), Anselme (late Florida) Richard, Tilmon (late Catherine) Richard and Jeannita Richard, and all her in-laws.
Visitation will be held at Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe N.-B. E1A 1G1 (506-857-1901) on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm only. Funeral mass will be held at the Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 11am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
