Dieppe, N.-B – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Gloria Arsenault (nee LeBlanc) on August 17th, 2022, at the age of 88 at Hospital Georges Dumont.
She was the youngest of eight children and was pre-deceased by her seven siblings, her sisters Yvonne, Lina, Freda and Rita, and her brothers Neri, Edgar, and Alfred.
Mom was a kind soul and lived a very simple life. She was a very independent person, loved music, dancing, and a good laugh, she was a great baker and a wonderful Mother.
She started her working career with NBTel at a very young age and left to start and raise her family. She worked at Sears for over 20 years, a job she really enjoyed and where she met some wonderful friends. One special person is Pat Burns whom she kept in touch with for over 50 years, they shared a very unique friendship.
Gloria is survived by her three children, Sandra (Bob), Terry (Ariane), and Mike (Frances), five grandchildren, Sasha, Justin, Mathieu, Joel, and Jeremie, and two great grandchildren, Sage, and Athena.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Arsenault in 2013.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, August 26th, at 10:30 am, at Passage-Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe N.-B (857-1901). If friends so desire a memorial contribution can be made to the CNIB.
