Moncton, NB – Auréa (Blanche) Maillet, passed away peacefully at her cottage in Côte Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the age of 86.
Born in McLean Settlement, NB, she was the daughter of the late Zoël and the late Marie Girouard.
Auréa will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of 61 years, Aurèle (Al) Maillet; her daughter, Jocelyn (Maurice) Hébert of Moncton; her son, Marc (Debbie) Maillet of Eastern Passage, NS; her brother, Laurie Girouard of St. Lazare; her sister, Annette Girouard of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent; her two grandchildren: Dani (Adrian) Lechner of Germany, and Serge Hébert (Mélanie) of Moncton; her five great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Philipp, Anthony, Victoria and Charlotte; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Girouard.
Auréa was proud to have worked with Shell Oil Company for 42 years before her retirement.
Visitation will take place at Passage Funeral Chapel (625 Mountain Road, Moncton) on Tuesday, August 16th, 2022 from 10:00am until 12:00pm and 2:00pm until time of service. Funeral service will take place in the chapel at 4:00pm.
In memory of Auréa, a donation can be made to the Canadian Alzheimer Society or to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.

  1. Just found out. So sorry to hear. I’ve lost another. So many memories. The distance between us never affected my thinking of all of you often and wishing we could be together again for even a short while. Last time I saw her was when Danny passed. She graciously (as always) opened her home to me and Cleo.
    So sad yet so grateful for the precious memories.

    With a heavy heart. let me say to my remaining relatives be well.
