Obituary
On January 14, 2022, Our Dad & Papa took his last breath on this earth and his first breath in Paradise, where we know that his daughter Tiffy was waiting with open arms to welcome him home.
Forever loved and remembered by his Daughters Stacey, April – Bubz, Stephanie – Mouse and Son Thomas
Proud Papa of Elias, Eden, Courage, Liviah, Selena, Myla and Hendrik.
And former spouse Sylvia Besito.
Hubert is also remembered by his Sister Dorothy and Brothers Leland, Bryant, Warren and extended family (sisters) Norma, Doreen, Marilyn, Sandy, Brenda, Bonnie and Jean and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his Mom Doris John & Father Harold ‘Elmer” Parker, brother Bill and his beloved daughter Tiffany Allison John.
Our hearts are heavy at the sudden loss of our Dad and Papa, to us he was more than dad and papa he was our hero. He was a kind, humble man, who was always there to lend a hand, watch the grandkids if needed, always remembering to wish us a Happy Birthday, attending family gatherings, playing ping pong in the kitchen, watching the kids and grandkids play hockey even going to the lengths of making an ice rink down at the pond, taking late night rides to Tim Horton’s just because, playing kitchen with the grandkids and often hosting an amazing firework display for the family that could be seen for miles around. We will miss his shy smile and infectious laugh, he always had the right words to say in moments of need. Love is a bond that death cannot part, gone from our arms but forever in our hearts.
~ * ~
If Hubert was not behind the wheel of his transport truck, shifting gears, looking at the sun rise, listening to all his favorite music as he navigated his way down the long highways of Canada and the USA, he would be at home settling in for a visit making sure he did his laundry and tiding his home, before making his rounds visiting his kids and grandkids. For Hubert family was the most important thing and he made sure to make every moment count. Hubert often brought home gifts of pop, cereal, Ragu sauce, t-shirt, stickers, hats, coins & collectibles, Mexican bills and unique jewelry to share his adventures with everyone here at home. Hubert had a love for American muscle (cars) Mustangs and Chargers to be exact and would often reflect on his time Joyriding in a 72 Charger or 1970’s Trans AM T-Bar Roof, he would tell stories about working on his cars with our grandpa Roland Besito often saying “oh those were the days”. Hubert also loved Harley Davidson and Indian Motorcycles and was often seen wearing his Indian & Harley Motorcycle Shirts, Leather Jacket and could sometimes be seen riding his Harley down Scotch in the summer months. Hubert was a navigator with many tips for ensuring a good road trip and had lots of ideas for shortcuts and places to visit if you were ever out on the open road. Hubert left a lasting impression on the lives of his family and friends and will be forever missed.
If desired a memorial donation may be made to the Saugeen First Nation Library or GC Huston Public School, two places his grandchildren regularly attended.
Due to current restrictions, the immediate family will be gathering to grieve privately. Details regarding a public grave site service and celebration to honor Hubert will follow in the spring.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Hubert John November 7 1960 – January 14 2022 Age 61..
