Mrs. Hope Haverstock, (nee Smith) formerly of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at Rosefield Care Centre on May 2, 2022. Hope was very active with volunteer work for many years at Dr. Richard Parsons Hospital, Guild work at St. Leonard’s Church, and her years as a director with the Memorial Society. She loved her curling, skiing, skating and golf. Hope is survived by her daughter, Patricia Hannah of Winnipeg, Manitoba, her son, Charles (Diana) Haverstock of Red Deer, Alberta as well as four grandchildren: Susan, Chris, Stephen and Anne, seven great grandchildren: Tayden, Valissa, Jesse, Justice, Delta, Francis and Charlie, and two great great grandchildren: Kowyn and Lyla as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Hope was predeceased by her loving husband Hal Haverstock April 12, 2002, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex B. Smith, three brothers, Ernest, Alex, Bill, and one sister, Marjorie Watson and her son in law, John Hannah. If friends so desire, Memorial Donations may be made to the Rosefield Care Centre, 5023 – 42 St. Innisfail, Alberta T4G 1A9.
