Holly Muriel Jones August 13 1920 November 4 2022

Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Holly passed away peacefully at Veteran’s Memorial Lodge, her home for the last eleven months. Predeceased by husband Arthur in 2012 and son Alan in 2021, Holly will be missed by her grandsons Michael (Carmen), David (Ardys), great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Joan and multiple friends and relatives in Canada and England. Born just outside Liverpool, Holly married Arthur in 1941 and they both served in WW II. Son Alan was born in 1948. The young family emigrated to Victoria in 1953, where they established many life-long friendships. Holly loved to travel, cook and entertain and was well-loved by all she met.
An informal tea in Holly’s memory will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Garden Court at the Monterey Centre, 1442 Monterey Avenue, Oak Bay. The family is very grateful to the staff at Veteran’s Memorial Lodge for their kind attentive care. In lieu of flowers, donations to Broadmead Care, 4579 Chatterton Way, Victoria, B.C. V8X 4Y7 would be appreciated.
