After a long illness, Herman passed peacefully on July 9, 2022 at Huron Lodge at 81 years of age, with his wife Robin by his side. Pre-deceased by his daughters Tracy and Sherri, his parents Peter and Maria, and his sister Diane Gobert. Survived by his sister Toni (Lyle) Gander, his grandchildren Marla and Robert.
Herm had a long business career including management positions with Goodyear Tire Canada and Serbu Tire. He retired as an owner & operator of the Co-Operators Insurance office in Petrolia, Ontario. Herm was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and historian, and belonged to the National Baseball Hall of Fame (lifetime member) and the International Boxing Hall of Fame. Herm was a man of great passion and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Private services were held. A celebration of life with take place at a later date.
