Herman Franklyn Neaves of Sydney, Nova Scotia passed away suddenly but peacefully on April 30, 2022, at the age of 78 years old, in Harbourstone Enhanced Care.
Herman was born in Kentville, Nova Scotia on October 8, 1943;he was predeceased by his parents Roy and Leta (Barnes) Neaves and his five siblings.
He moved multiple times throughout his career, Herman was a business orientated and he received many awards in business. He spent the majority of his career working with Co-op Atlantic as a regional manager. He later finished his career working for Artic Co-op in Yellowknife, North West Territories. Herman’s true pride and joy was his family, he loved boating and spending time at the family cottage in Medford Beach. He took pleasure inbuilding airplane models and enjoyed watching his son fly them.
Herman will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Barbara and her husband Lorne Johnstone, sons Chris and his partner Chantelle, and Doug and his partner Bobbi Jo, as well as four grandchildren, Baily, McKenna, Maddie and Jeremy.
We would like to express so much gratitude to the staff at McDougall’s Court, Harbourstone, for treating our dad like family during his time there.
A Celebration of life service will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sydney Memorial Chapel.
