Herbert Gardiner Corey
1922-2022
Herbert G. Corey of Fredericton, NB passed away on June 12, 2022 at
the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Herb was born on November 5, 1922
at Temperance Vale, NB, a son of the late Sherman and Freda (Banks)
Corey.
He is survived by his wife of 77 years, Josephine (McKinney) Corey;
his children Sharon Smith, Fredericton, NB, Darrell Corey (Marie),
Newfoundland, Carolyn Price, Daniel Corey (Sandra), both of
Fredericton, NB, Steven Corey (Trudy), Burtts Corner, NB, Roger Corey
(Diane) and Colleen Lawson (Randy), both of Fredericton, NB; a
daughter-in-law Linda Corey; a son-in-law, Brian Baxter (Sue); a
sister Faye Bishop, Dartmouth, NS; several grandchildren, great
grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son Paul; a
daughter Eleanor Baxter and an infant daughter Rosalyn; a
granddaughter Heather and a grandson Caleb; siblings Glenna Burden,
Arnold (late Lilly Mae), Wesley (late Evelyn), Maida Pickard (late
Phillip) and Neil; and a brother-in-law Eddie Bishop.
Visiting hours will be held at Burtts Corner Baptist Church, 1034
Route 104, Burtts Corner, NB on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 2 pm with
Pastor David Wellwood and Pastor Larry Matthews officiating.
Interment at Temperance Vale Cemetery.
