Herbert Carl Wells passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 3, 2022 in his 84th year.
Husband of Barbara (Marling) Wells. Father of Rae (Peggy) Wells of Durham, Mike Wells of Pike Lake, and Brad Wells of Fordwich, and grandfather of Brian, Eric, Ryan, and Nick. Remembered by his siblings and their families.
Herb and Barb moved to Harriston in 1992. After building their new home on Pike Lake Road, he also built Rotobale Compaction Systems in Arthur Township in 1989, where he operated a refuse manufacturing company. The factory was sold in 2007.
In retirement, Herb and Barb raised horses on their fifty-acre farm. He enjoyed racing horses at Mohawk and other area racetracks.
Private family arrangements have been entrusted to the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, with a family graveside service to be held at Mount Forest Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Grand River Hospital, Kitchener or Humber River Hospital, Toronto would be appreciated.
