Obituary
Henry Stanley Rarog, 78 of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on October 12, 2022, in Calgary, AB.
Henry was born in Elk Point, AB to Alexander and Emilia Rarog on April 1, 1944. He was the youngest of 12 children. Henry worked in the construction industry in Edmonton and Calgary for all his life. He started his construction career at Beaver Lumber and in no time he was heading large commercial projects for Carlson, Gillett and Elan construction. He retired in 2012 from Elan construction where he worked for over 26 years. He was highly respected for his honesty, leadership, and integrity. He accumulated many friends along the way. Henry enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and traveling. He was involved with the Knights of Columbus and St. Luke’s parish.
Henry is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Neulander (Jarrod Stearns) of Kingston, On; his son Randy Rarog (Karen Weeks) of Calgary, AB; his sisters Elizabeth McGinnis and Irene Wengzynowski; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Samantha, Sydney, Nathan, Jackson, Jordan, Jayce, Paisley, Charles and Adrienne. He is preceded in death by his loving wife and life-long companion Judy Rarog; and his brothers and sisters, Agnes, Francis, John, Florence, Joe, Edward, Albinia, Helen and Annie.
Funeral services will be held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Calgary on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 11:00 am. A small reception will follow.
Henry was giving and caring and loved by all. He will be greatly missed.
