Henry Nicholas Pike 2022

Obituary
Henry Nicholas Pike
August 26, 1929-October 19, 2022
To live a life to the age of 93 is a great feat, to live it the way Henry Pike did was an accomplishment that is rarely seen. He took pride in raising a family of 5 with his wife Frances and treasured his 8 Grandchildren. As a dedicated volunteer of VOWR, he spent over 60 years with the station. Predeceased by his loving wife Frances (Martin) and parents James and Margaret Pike (Carbonear) and by siblings Flora (Cliff), Jim, Frances (Ted). Leaving to mourn his 5 children, Gary (Anne), Sandra MacDonald (Gordon), Trevor (Laura), Jason (Lori) and Henry (Lori). Poppy also leaves to mourn his adored 8 grandchildren, Amy Chafe (Wayne), Colin (Cassandra), Sarah, Nicholas (mother Anne Doyle), Christian, Adam, Lucas and Connor. Also leaving to mourn brother Roy (Eileen), sister Margaret Brown and sister-in-law Eileen Pike along with the extended members of the Pike and Martin family and remembered by a large circle of VOWR listeners and friends. Henry also leaves behind his cat and companion, Molly, who will miss curling up on his lap for a nap. The family would like to thank the Emergency department at the HSC, the Neurology department and especially Dr. Nick Snow for his compassion and caring. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home on Hamilton Ave, St. John’s. Visitation to take place Saturday October 22 from 7-9, Sunday October 23 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A celebration of Henry’s life to take place at Wesley United Church on Monday October 24 at 11:00am. Donations in Henry’s memory can be made to VOWR radio station.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Henry Nicholas Pike 2022..
