Much loved Sister-in-law of Balfour Thomas (Judy Birmingham), Sudbury; and Stewart Thomas (Sharon) and Marlene Bevilacqua (late Ezio), Capreol, Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Family was important to Henri. She was first and foremost a devoted wife and mother and her joyful family reunions were events to be remembered. Her personal nature, honesty, intelligence, hardworking attitude and organizational skills were great qualities which she applied so successfully in both her personal life and career. Henriette was proud of her 30 year career at Yellow Pages where she rose from entry level clerk to Manager of Northern Ontario. She won many company awards including three trips to Hawaii and a Caribbean Island cruise. Henri retired in 2009. Shortly after she began her fight with Alzheimer’s Disease which she successfully fought for nine years. With the support of her husband she continued to live a full life of quality, fun, activity, and travel before the disease took control for her last three years. Henri enjoyed downhill and cross-country skiing and golf. She bravely overcame her fear of water and paddled the canoe with Stan in the calm early morning waters of “The Lake”. Henriette was a beautiful, classy lady who enjoyed shopping and always looked sharp in whatever outfit or hat she wore. She loved Girls’ Night Out. Henri had great decorating skills and her home and yard reflected that. She enjoyed entertaining and going out for dinner. She was fun-loving, easy going, and so easy to love. A special thank you to all workers at the Elizabeth Centre for your special care of Henri, and for your help, concern, compassion, and friendliness extended to both Henri and Stan. Donations to the Northern Ontario Railway Museum and Heritage Centre would be appreciated. Prayers and cremation have taken place. A celebration of Henriette’s life will be held in the summer of 2023.
Arrangements entrusted to the jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
