Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Helma Dora “Kate” Parsons announce her passing on December 2nd, 2022 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care at the age of 66 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Tammy Goulding (Wallace Loder), Julie Parsons (Eric Burden), Tina White, and Byron Parsons (Rita Atkinson); her precious grandchildren: Hayley (Kyle), Carley, Kira, Andrew, Shia, Brittany (James), Sean (Meghan), Dylan (Mercedes), Zachary (Stephanie), Alex (Taysha), Cage (Brooklyn), Katie, William, Bradley, Ashley, and Emily; great-grandchildren: Bentley, Xavier, Star Lily, Kingsley, and Jayden; sisters and brothers-in-law: May (John), Freeman (Edwina), Marie (Wycliff), Eric (Bobbie), Joan (Robert), Agnes (Ronnie), Hazel (Leonard), Randy (Rosemary), Tony (Sandra), Laverne (Bernie), Beverly, and Sam.
Kate is predeceased by her husband, William Parsons (Willie), September 8, 2022; parents: Winnie Penney and Wilfred Maynard; mother and father-in-law: Gilbert and Doris Parsons; as well as her son-in-law: Tom White.
At Kate’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation and funeral to be announced. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request. Instead, a donation can be made in Kate’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society (alzheimer.ca/en).
The family wishes to send a sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of 4A North of the Heath Science Center in St. John’s, WMRH 3B, as well as the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit for your kindness and compassion.
