Helen Irene Birkenshaw 1933 2022

Obituary of Helen Irene Birkenshaw
Helen Irene Birkenshaw passed away peacefully on Monday, September 5, 2022 at the age of 88. Helen is survived by sisters Elva Jaenan and Shirley Goodman; brother Garry Birkenshaw; sister-In-Law Margaret Birkenshaw; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their children. She was predeceased by her parents William and Lena Birkenshaw; brother Ray Birkenshaw; sister Joyce (Gerald) McIlvenna; sister-in-law Marcia Birkenshaw; brothers-in-law Don Goodman and Al Jaenan.
Helen was very career orientated and strong minded. She started her banking career at a young age and began working at the TD Bank in several small towns in Saskatchewan. Helen then worked in the Regina head office for many years, deciding to further her education, accepting a job in Toronto, ON with TD Bank. She worked there up until her retirement. One of her greatest accomplishments was being on the team to create the green machine automatic tellers. Helen chose to retire back in Regina to be close to her family.
Helen was our family tree guru and made sure that all the family history was up to date, enjoying this immensely.
We wish to thank all of the emergency staff that came to help Helen the evening of her passing.
There will be a Graveside Service for family and friends at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 2,2022 at Webster’s Cemetery in Rocanville, SK.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Helen
