Obituary of Helen Doreen Davidson
September 7, 1931 – Kindersley, Saskatchewan
December 12, 2022 – Cochrane, Alberta
Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Helen Davidson, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2022 at the age of 91 years.
Her small family meant everything to her, and she always delighted in keeping informed about their activities.
Helen had a long and distinguished banking career with the CIBC in Saskatchewan. After retirement she and Bob moved to Lethbridge, Alberta to be closer to family and, after Bob’s passing, Mom moved to the condo she loved so much in Village Green. She and her beloved dog, Khaili, spent many happy years there. When her health declined, she relocated to Grande Avenue Village Seniors’ Residence in Cochrane, followed by a move to Hawthorne Supportive Living. Heartfelt thanks to the staff members of both these residences for your kindness and compassion and for the wonderful care you provided to Mom.
She is survived by daughters Paula (Alan) Gerard and Sandra (Brad) Buczulak, grandsons Mark (Brooke) Buczulak and Ryan (Kate) Buczulak, great-granddaughters, Audrey and Temperance and great-grandson Grayson, and three very special people, Paige Millhaem, Deb Hadley and Clare Henninger.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; her parents, Tom and Ada Jones; her two sisters, Mary Mahoney and Gwynn Near; and her brother, Warren Jones.
Cremation has taken place, and at Helen’s request no services will be held. Her ashes will rest in a place special to her. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
