It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Mother-in-law, Aunt, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Helen Rypan on January 20, 2022 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Paul Rypan. Loving mother of Eugene (Maria Wasylkewycz) Rypan, Jerry (Jane McCallum) Rypan, and Rosey (George Parubchak).
She is survived by her children and six grandsons: Jerry Jr., John (Pamela Hodge), Joel (Terese Addy), Joshua (Joanna Mazzucco), Andre Parubchak (Cindy Jarzylo) and Simon Parubchak (Cecile Pillon); and nine great grandchildren: Taylor, Jameson, Weston, AddyJane, Hudsyn, Sloane and Logan Rypan, and Alex and Jacob Parubchak. She will be missed by her extended family in Ukraine and fondly remembered by many friends.
Visitation on Monday, January 24th, 2022, Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St., Toronto from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. The funeral service will be January 25th, 10:00am at St Demetrius Church, 135 LaRose Ave. Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery. Due to Covid restrictions the funeral will be private.
The family thanks the caring staff of Ivan Franko LTC Home for eight years of care and support. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy, donation can be made to Ivan Franko Home, 767 Royal York Rd, Toronto.
