WATSON, Helen (nee Parrish) ~ 1923 Mar. 02 – 2022 Jan. 25. On Tuesday, January 25th 2022 at Victoria Manor in Lindsay, Helen entered peacefully into rest at the age of 98. Helen was the beloved Wife of Bill Watson of Lindsay who passed away in 2007. Loving mother of Judy Watson (Randall Kaye) of Toronto, Douglas Watson (Margaret) of Lindsay and Bruce Watson (Cindy Campbell, Susan nee Jarvest deceased) of Oshawa. Cherished grandmother of Darrell Watson (Anna Lord) of Salt Spring Island, BC, Connie Watski (Joe Watski) of Kingston, ON, Graham Watson of Toronto, Claire Watson (Ronan Anderson) of London, ON, Stephanie Headrick of Newcastle, ON, Heather Toole of Toronto, ON, and great grandmother of Lily, Terrel, Marcelo, Gabriel, Aaliyah, Jeremiah and Jaxon. In the Parrish family, dear sister of the late: Carol Carter, Ab Parrish, Jean Brown and Marg Kittle. In the Watson family, dear sister-in-law of Marjorie (Gordon’s wife) of Peterborough and the late Watsons: Lawrence (Bud), Arnold, George, Ethel Mary Hampton, Jean Thacker, Starr, Harold and Gordon. She will be remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews. Helen was an active volunteer and curler at the Ops Community Centre, and a fabulous baker and knitter whose creations were enjoyed by all of us. Helen will be lovingly remembered by the extended family and friends. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Adelaide Place and Victoria Manor for their care and compassion. Visitation at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 40 William Street North, Lindsay on Saturday, January 29 at 1:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 1:30pm. Streaming details of the service will be on the Mackey web site www.mackeys.ca. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, 347 Lindsay Street South Lindsay. Memorial donations to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation or St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family.
