Passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, February 4, 2022. Helen Van De Ligt (neé Menard) of Alexandria; age 65 years. Beloved wife of Joey Van De Ligt for 44 years. Loving mother of Brian (Lisa) Van De Ligt of Williamstown and Kevin Van De Ligt of Barrie. Caring grandmother of Nico and Shae. Dear sister of Denis Menard, Nicole Fields (Bobby), Colette Piche (Louis), Lucie Dufresne (Tony), Gary Menard (Patricia) and Lynn Leblanc (Bob). Helen is predeceased by her parents Rheal and Annette Menard (Martin). In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772). As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated by the family. In memory of Helen, a tree will be planted in a memory woods.     It is with great sadness that we express our most sincere condolences. Helen was a beautiful person, she will be missed by a lot of people.
    We will always remember the good times we had together, especially the week she spent with us as a kid in Vercheres. We had many many good laughs together.
