Helen began her journey into the spirit world peacefully in her home with her family by her side on Monday, April 4, 2022 at the age of 79.
Beloved daughter of the late Alphonse and Mary Jacko.
Loving partner of the late Lloyd Fox (predeceased) and beloved mother of Eric (Anastasia), Sharon, Muriel (Chris), and Paige (Shane). Predeceased by children Veronica, Pamela, and Nina. Helen will be greatly missed by her beautiful grandchildren Duane, Mahommad, Lee, Hassan, Joshua, Victoria, Jordi, Angel, Shawnnee, Wyatt, Brandon, Phoenix, and Athena. Predeceased by grandchildren Cassandra, Ali, Mary-Beth, and Hussayn. An amazing great chi-momma to 10 special great grandchildren.
Survived by brother Russell Jacko (Doreen), and sister Caroline Jacko (Ignatius). Predeceased by sister Victoria Roy (James), Nancy Recollet (Robert), and twin sister Doris Prince (George) and by brother Mark and Francis Jacko.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and Godmother to Sam and Raine (predeceased).
Helen favorite pastime was spending time with her family and friends at the bingo hall, casino and family gatherings. She enjoyed traveling and having the freedom to go wherever she wanted when she could go. She enjoyed her crafts such as quilting (master quilter) and quill box making. She always had enough love to go around whether to her partner, children, grandchildren, family, friends, or her favorite child “Mojo”.
Helen had many stories of growing up in our beautiful community and was proud of where she came from. She was sure to attend community gatherings and would often visit the Health Centre and attend senior functions at the 7 Fires Youth and Elder’s Centre.
She was a kind, patient, loving woman and enjoyed that warm conversation with a sweet glass of five star. Visitation starts on Friday April 8, 2022 at 2 PM in the Birch Island Community Centre. Funeral Service on April 11 in the Birch Island Community Centre at 11 AM with cremation to follow .
