Helen’s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the sudden passing of Helen Jedraski on Thursday March 31, 2022. Predeceased by the love of her life husband Gerald Jedraski (2000) and her parents Walter and Sophie Chudzik. Helen was a loving and caring mother to Christine (Rick) Emmett. Devoted Babci to Cassandra (Aaron) and Michael (Jessica). Proud Babci Helen to great-grandchildren Brynn and Max (and soon to arrive new grandson). Best friend and ‘favourite’ sister to Diane (John) Vamos and a loving Ciocci to their children and grandchildren.
Helen loved music and dancing with Gerry and travelled with him to many Polka Dances in Ontario and the US. She always looked forward to her Buffalo shopping trips alongside her daughter Christine. Helen’s greatest pleasure came from spending time with friends and family and was totally smitten with her great-grandchildren. Helen could be found at many of her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Helen served as the Executive Assistant to 5 Mayors in Brantford. She thoroughly enjoyed all the planning for events and galas for the City of Brantford. She was especially proud of being an integral part of facilitating the Queen’s trip to Brantford.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home. In accordance with Helen’s expressed wishes cremation has already taken place. Due to ongoing concerns with COVID-19, a time and place for a ‘Celebration of Life’ will be announced at a later date. In Helen’s memory, donations to the Brant County SPCA (www.brantcountyspca.com/) or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
Helen was a gentle soul and will be missed by many.
