Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Helen Louise Way announce her passing on November 1st, 2022 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Center at 91 years of age. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sister: Ruth Green; grandchildren: Andrew LeDrew (Shelby), Douglas LeDrew (Eileen), Eric Way (Cassandra), Matthew Way, Julian Way, and Kimberly Way; great-grandchildren: Myla and Jaci Way, Emma LeDrew, and Brandon and Alicia LeDrew; her daughter-in-law: Jane Way; and her son-in-law: Leonard LeDrew; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Helen is predeceased by her husband: Roland Way; her parents: Douglas and Edna Yates; and her children: Barry, Robert, Judy, and Bryan.
Helen was a devoted member of the Bentley Club, which later became the United Church Women’s group. She also took pride in her position with the WMRH’s Auxiliary group.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Mountainview Retirement Center and the CBLTC for their compassion shown during Helen’s stay.
There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel, from where the service will take place at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jamie Rowsell officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. No flowers by request, instead, a donation can be made in Helen’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
