Helen Helena Tulin Grudics Wednesday October 7th 2020

HELEN TULIN
Mrs. Helen (Helena) Tulin passed away on October 7th, 2020, after a courageous five-month battle with cancer. During CoVid times, we have not had the opportunity to have a celebration of life for our mom, grandma, and friend. Helena is survived by her three children, Gail Kelly and special son-in-law and friend Dan Kelly, with sadness from the family, passed away June 13th,2022, Eddy Tulin and daughter-in-law Llisa, and Eileen Tulin (Vancouver). Her grandchildren are Casey Kelly (Rylie Basaraba), Garrett Kelly (Brooke Burgsteden), and Miranda Miller (James), Diana Thorogood (Jesse, Vancouver). Great grandchildren Colbie, Calvin, and Claire Miller; Max and Jacob Thorogood.
Helena was pre-deceased by her husband Edwin Tulin Sr, her mother and father, Helena, and Frank Grudics.
Helena had many great friends whom she cherished to have in her life. Many were from being involved in the Luthern Churches and volunteering at many organizations in our city. Dew Drop-In, Salvation Army Kettle Bells (she did not only ring the bell but sang Christmas carols to get donations), Camp Aurora, Diabetes Society, Staal Foundation Open,Lappe Cemetary and July 1st Canada Day at Marina Park.
There are too many friends to mention, but as she had so many close friends, we would like to thank Gay and Larry Kelly for always having those great visits and a lot of laughs. Mel and Isabel Hamlyn for their friendship and help. Rene Piolet for always being there to snow blow the driveway. Bruce, from Dew Drop-Inn for always being a friend and helping out with the yard. Rita Cacciatore for being a wonderful and caring friend. I am sorry I do not know all of you who worked with mom at the Dew Drop- In, but she spoke highly of you and enjoyed your friendships and visits.
We want to welcome everyone to a celebration of life to share some stories with you on September 20th, 2022, at noon at the Current River Recreation Centre, followed by a luncheon. Mom’s ashes will be laid to rest with her husband Edwin in Lappe Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dew Drop-In in Thunder Bay.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
