Obituary
Passed peacefully away following a short illness, Helen Hull (nee St. Croix), aged 89, on Sunday, August 21st, 2022 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing.
Helen was born in St. Vincent’s, St. Mary’s Bay on April 6th, 1933. She moved to Stephenville in 1956, where she was a dedicated employee with the Harmon Co-operation.
Helen was a voracious reader who preferred books about history and autobiographies and she also loved Word Scrabble. One of her favourite pastimes was tending to her garden where she grew great Rhubarb. She was known for hanging out her clothes on the line no matter the weather. Helen was a devoted Catholic with a deep love of her faith. She attended Mass every week when she was able.
Helen was predeceased by: beloved husband of 64 years Tom Hull; parents Aiden and Bridget St. Croix; sister Mildred; and brothers: John, Lawrence, Peter, Philip, Gus, Aiden, and Dermot.
She is survived by many cherished family members including: sister Mary; sisters-in-law: Edna and Geraldine; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, August 25th from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM at Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville. The funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 26th at 10:00 AM from St. Stephen’s Parish. Interment to follow at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery.
