HELEN DYCK (FRIESEN)
After a long journey with Alzheimer’s Disease, Helen gracefully passed away at River East Personal Care Home, on February 25, 2022. Helen was born on December 26, 1937 in Altona, MB, the 5th of eight children, to Anna and Martin Friesen. After 62 years of marriage, her husband Ben passed away in 2019. Her memory will be cherished by daughters, Virginia (Dave), Pearl (Kevin); grandchildren, Colleen, Nathaniel, Lyndon, Terrell (Tessa), Chelsea (Joe), Ryan, Shannon, and Alannah (Chris); great-grandson Kit and sister Mary.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Sterling Mennonite Fellowship, 1008 Dakota St., Winnipeg, with viewing prior to service. Burial to follow service at Sage Creek Cemetery. Masks and proof of vaccination required. The service will be livestreamed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Manitoba or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
