Helen’s Obituary
Helen Hollidge passed away on the morning of August 25, 2022, at the Stedman Community Hospice in Brantford, with her three daughters by her side. Beloved mother of Sandra Lackie (Murray), Susan Hollidge and Sheila Hollidge. Much loved grandmother of Kirsten and Nathan. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Ken Hollidge, her sister Janet Buckley and brother-in-law Ted Buckley. She will be dearly missed by her extended family and many dear friends.
Helen’s sense of adventure included trips to Scotland, Baffin Island, travelling with her son-in-law, Murray to Iceland, and a more recent trip on the St. Lawrence from Quebec City to Newfoundland with her daughter Susan. Other adventures were more local including a Grand River rafting trip with her family to celebrate her 80th birthday. Helen had many interests including birds, horses, ice cream and was a gifted artist who appreciated art and the artist.
Friends will be welcomed at the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Road in Paris, on Thursday September 8, 2022 from 10 to 11 a.m. A Memorial Service, officiated by Rev. Adrianne Robertson, will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am. For the safety of all guests, wearing a mask is not mandatory but is appreciated. The family wishes to send a special thank you to Stedman Community Hospice for their care and compassion.
