Helen Coady nee Finn 2022

Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Helen Coady (nee Finn, formerly of Jerseyside, Placentia) at the Health Sciences Centre on February 25, 2022 just a few days before her 84th birthday.
Predeceased by many relatives in the Coady and Finn families.
Left broken hearted are her husband of 59 years, Joe (“Coady”), her “three girls” Peggy Ann, Sharon and Michelle, special sister Betty Butorac, special sisters-in-law Marion Dober and Loretta Ortiz, and other family and friends.
Mom had many health challenges over the last five years and she faced them all with a pleasant and resilient manner. We would like to acknowledge those who helped us keep her at home until the day before she passed. Many thanks to our exceptional family physician, Dr. Amanda Coleman, devoted caregivers Dorothy Squires RN and Carolann Greene, community health nurse April Adams and Airport Heights neighbours. We would also like to thank Dr. Gavin Duffy, Dr. Wayne Gulliver, Dr. Rod Martin, Dr. Wayne Redmond and the staff of Lawtons Wedgewood for the exceptional care Mom received over the years. Mom always appreciated her health care providers.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Barrett’s Funeral Home and cremation has taken place. Funeral mass and inurnment to be held at a future date at Holy Rosary Parish in Portugal Cove. Donations in Mom’s memory can be made to Beagle Paws (www.beaglepaws.com) in honour of her love for Bailey and Henry.
A mother’s love’s a blessing
No matter where you roam
Keep her while she’s living
You’ll miss her when she’s gone
Love her as in childhood
Though feeble, old and grey
For you’ll never miss a mother’s love
Till she’s buried beneath the clay
