It is with indescribable sadness that the family or Heidi West announce her unexpected passing in Sudbury at the age of 53. Cherished daughter and stepdaughter of Bev West and Bill Moore; favourite niece of Peggy Holmes, loving sister to Jamie (Pam) and aunt to Sam, Thomas, and Ella. Heidi will forever be remembered for her kindness. She had a huge heart and a great sense of humour. She loved her family and cherished the friends she made here in Sudbury, as well as those she made while in Trinidad, France, England, the USA and through her participation at Pensic. She was proud of her work while at Better Beginnings Better Futures and the opportunities it gave her to improve the lives of the children, teens, and families in the neighborhoods where she grew up and played. Heidi loved reading and learning new things. She was happiest in the sunshine, but any opportunity to connect with Mother Nature, especially swimming, recharged her soul. She will be missed more than words can say. Heidi was inspired by the strong female leadership associated with the Sudbury Women’s Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sudbury Women’s Center in her honour would be lovely. A celebration of her life will be held at the R.J. Barnard Chapel at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 1pm. (Friends may gather after 12noon Saturday, April 30, 2022). Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. For those who wish to view the service online: view.oneroomstreaming.com/authorise.php?k=1650151410178847
