Draganac, Hedy Rose (nee Wheeler)
Peacefully with her family by her side at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the age of 72 years. Hedy Draganac (nee Wheeler), beloved wife of 49 wonderful years to her best friend Bruce Draganac of Sutton. Dear mother of Tracy Draganac (Jeremiah Ashbee) and Tim Draganac (Lori Hitchins). Special “Gram” to Kathleen Draganac (Ryan Martin) and all her granddogs. Dear sister of Gary Wheeler and the late Danny Wheeler and Sister in law of Fran Wheeler. Hedy had her dream career as a teacher and loved and cherished the children she taught. She loved her March Break time where she would flourish in the Florida sun every year. She was blessed with “a green thumb” and spent as much time as she could gardening. She loved all flowers, especially red and yellow roses, fitting for her middle name. Hedy loved everything Christmas, from driving around looking at the lights, to annual family dinners and decorating her Christmas tree every year with her “Christmas Elf.” Holidays were always special because of her. She is remembered for her gentle and kind demeanour, her grace and her loyal devotion to her family. A truly special woman who is fondly remembered by all. Cremation has taken place. Arrangement in care of the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, Sutton. Memorial donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
