9 December 1941 – 2 September 2022
With Sadness we announce the passing of Heather Tennant (nee Griffin) on September 2, 2022 of complications due to heart surgery. Predeceased by her husband of 53 years Charles Edgar Tennant. She leaves her son Jeffrey Tennant and his wife Jo-Anne, daughter Anne Bath and her husband Sandy, three granddaughters Ashley and Sarah Tennant and Holly Glenn. Predeceased by 3 sisters and 1 brother. She leaves 2 sisters. Heather trained at Kingston General Hospital to become a registered X-ray Technologist. She worked for 31 years at 5 different hospitals including 19 years at Southampton Memorial Hospital. After retiring, Heather and Charlie became avid travelers visiting Australia, New Zealand, much of Europe, Malaysia and coast to coast in Canada. Heather enjoyed crafting and decorating and for many years joined her friends at Port Elgin United Church creating lovely holiday decorations. Heather’s life was filled with love, family, friends and travel. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place on September 17, 2022 at Port Elgin United Church from 1 – 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
