Harvey Bernard Lord 2022

We, the family of Harvey Bernard Lord, regret to announce his passing on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney.
Born December 19, 1948, in Sydney, he was the son of the late Albert and Elizabeth (MacLellan) Lord.
Until retirement, Harvey worked as a crane operator. Harvey was a Provincial Civil Constable and he had a small vending machine business. He was a Sergeant in CBMD and a member of the Branch 12 Legion.
He loved all animals, especially cats, but had a soft spot for any animal that ventured into his yard. They were never considered strays in his eyes.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Pennie (Nearing); daughter, Crystal Dawn, Sydney; son, John Robert “Bobby”, Sydney; sister, Elizabeth, Howie Centre; and sister-in-law, Pat Lord, New Glasgow.
Besides his parents, Harvey was predeceased by his brother, Norman Lord.
A special thank you to the nurses and staff on Levatte’s Lane in Kenwood Hall at Harbourstone Enhanced Care who provided Harvey with wonderful care and compassion.
A funeral service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Lamey officiating. Interment will take place in Union Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Every Woman’s Centre Back to School Program.
