Harry Robert “Bob”‘s Obituary
COOK, Harry Robert “Bob” ~ Age 75, of Sandy Bottom Lake, West Springhill, Annapolis Co., passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on February 23, 1947, in Annapolis Royal, he was a son of the late George and Edith (Dodd) Cook. His family was his pride and joy. Bob spent many years in the rinks and the ballfields, coaching his son and his daughter went along as their biggest cheerleader. He loved to talk, share stories, had great advice, and would tease the grandkids with his shenanigans. Bob worked at Nova Scotia Power for most of his life, where he made many friends and was known as “Cookie”. His days off, you could find him cruising the back roads, camping and fishing with family and friends. When he retired, he and Sandra bought the farm, where he earned his name “Chicken Bob”, and had built a fishing pond, and wood take the grandkids fishing. Sandra was the love of Bob’s life for 48 years, and they worked together to build the life that they had. They spent many days and nights at their cabin, drinking coffee on the deck and enjoyed the lake views. He was our family rock, our biggest supporter and he will be missed deeply. Surviving are his wife the former Sandra E. Johnstone; son, Tyler (Magen Blinn), Middleton; daughter, Kendra (Mike) Strong, Okotoks, Alberta; grandchildren, Ethan (Patience Johnson) Cook, Bailey Cook , Dykohta and Kamryn Strong; great grandchild, Avery Cook; brothers, Richard (Elaine) Cook, Cape Breton; sisters, Dorothy (Ron) Bellmare, Moschelle; Linda Cook, Halifax; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Marie LeeAnne Cook; brother, Rexford Cook. There will be no visitation or service.
