Obituary of Harriet Hauser
Harriet Hauser (nee Filipowicz)
January 8, 1924 – January 24, 2022
Peacefully, with family by her side, Harriet passed away on January 24, 2022, in her 98th year, at the John M. Parrott Centre in Greater Napanee. Beloved wife of Joe (2003), Harriet will be sadly missed by her sons Frank, Rick (Darlene) and Mark (Michelle). Harriet is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Amanda, Kyle, Brandon, and Joseph. Harriet was predeceased by her parents Eraz and Katherine Filipowicz and all thirteen of her siblings: Karl, Frances Bouck, Walter, Charlotte (infant), Jewellien Parkhouse, Evelyn, Chester, Ernie (infant), Bernie, Benjy, Harold, Kathryne, and Beverly Stokowski.
Harriet was born in Alexo, AB and spent her formative years on her family’s farm in Rocky Mountain House. Married life, as an Alcan wife, brought her to Kingston where she and her husband raised their three sons and she truly lived into her calling as a dear friend, devoted sister, loyal wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the John M. Parrott Centre who have helped Harriet throughout her many years in long-term care. Harriet’s family will gather privately for the funeral service in the chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Saturday, January 29 at 5:00 pm, with Reverend Richard Hetke officiating. As the service is private it will be available for viewing via livestream. For those who wish to attend the livestream, please CLICK HERE.
As expressions of sympathy, donations in Harriet’s memory may be made to the John M. Parrott Centre Life Enrichment Fund, in support of music enrichment for the home’s residents.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Harriet
