Harold’s Obituary
Harold Walter Bartlett of Channel-Port aux Basques, NL passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre after a short battle with cancer. Born in Winnepeg, MB, he was the son of the late Patricia and Maurice McLaughlin. Harold was also predeceased by his daughters; Shelley and Heidi Bartlett, brother; Fred Bartlett, sister; Evelyn Musseau and brother-in-law; Clyde Feaver.
Harold will be sadly missed by wife his wife; Patricia, sons; David, Macky (Monique) and Michael (Rita) Bartlett, his brothers; Dick and David Bartlett, his brothers and sisters-in-law; Calvin (Andrea) Feaver, Patsy Feaver and Mary (Dave) Gilliam, grand kids; Caity, Jaiydn, Ethan, Chloe and Matthew Bartlett, Nick and Patrick Tucker, great-grand kids; Grady, Jake and Heidi Tucker and Logan Bartlett.
Harold moved to Port aux Basques in 1973 and made it his home. He was a very well known man in the community, fondly known for his kind heart and willingness to help others. Being an avid hunter and fisherman; he just loved Newfoundland dearly, it was his home.
Our family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre for all their love and continued support during this trying time, it was all greatly appreciated.
In keeping with Harold’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held for Harold at a later date. Donations can be made to any charity of your choice.
