Grigg; Hanna May
Hanna May (May) Grigg died as she lived, without any fuss, on Sunday May 22, 2022 at the age of 91. Although she considered herself an ordinary person with no talent to speak of, her salt of the earth nature and capacity for belief were a rare combination. Along with her unwavering faith she managed to maintain her girlhood prettiness, a childlike innocence, and an unforced positivity.
May was the wife of the late Norman Grigg, mother of Bryan (predeceased), Sue Ronan (Doug), Kate Grigg (Danny McErlain) and Kevin, and grandmother of Andrew and Hannah Ronan. Her siblings included James Harrison (predeceased), Margaret Beatty (predeceased), Billy Harrison (predeceased) and Doris Warner. She was the aunt of Carol (Maurice), Bob (Annette), Donald (Tammy) and Jimmy and David.
A beloved member of the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a memorial service will be held via Zoom on Saturday, June 4 at 1 p.m. Call 705-326-0644 for credentials.
Alternatively, a general visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Friday, May 27 from 7 to 9 p.m.
The care and support provided by Dr. Dharssi and the palliative care team, including co-ordinators, visiting nurses, and PSWs was outstanding. We are grateful.
