Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Hanna Elizabeth Liske (nee Strunk) announce her passing on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Russell Health Centre at the age of 84 years.
Hanna was born on July 3, 1937 in the Municipality of Hillsburg to Edwin and Minnie Strunk. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Shevlin, Manitoba. Church was an important part of Hanna’s life, both in Shevlin and later at St. Matthew’s in Roblin. Cooking and baking were hobbies she loved to do. When not in the kitchen, she could be found outside tending to her yard and garden or in her sewing room. She made many miles walking everywhere she needed to go whether to work, to church, shopping or going for coffee with her friends.
Hanna was predeceased by her parents, Edwin and Minnie; brother, Kurt; sisters, Ruth and Hilda; her son, Richard (January 29, 2022) and son-in-law, Norman.
Surviving to mourn her loss are daughter, Darlene; sister, Edith; grandson, Michael (Krisiti); granddaughter, Leslie (Dillan); great grandchildren, Matthew, Evelyn and Brooklyne as well as many nieces, nephews and daughter-in-law, Gwen.
A Funeral Service will be held April 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Roblin, MB with Pastor Barry Wood officiating.
