Hank Dixon
Hank Dixon passed away peacefully on June 2, 2022 at his home in North River.
Hank leaves behind his mother, Joan Dixon; brothers, William (Leslie), Troy (Goldie) and Danny; his partner (his better half), Pauline; mother of his sons, Paula; his sons, Dale (Jade), Dylan (Craig); their son, Corbin; his stepdaughters, Jamie, Briana (Carson), Emily, Sydney; nieces, Nicole (Doltan), Emily (Ryan) and their children, Caige, Zoey, Kholson.
He was predeceased by his father, Isaac Dixon.
Born in Toronto, Hank and his family moved to North River in 1973. He proudly operated the family business, B&D Glass & Mirror. Hank’s business pursuits included running his Christmas tree farm, along-side his son, Dale, for 30 years, the 311 U-Fish with Pauline and pumpkin and sunflower farming. Hank was passionate about giving back to his community. Hank was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge Corinthian 63.
Hank enjoyed spending his time outdoors. Hunting and fishing were his passions. Hank loved having a good time with great friends and enjoyed having a good laugh.
Life with Hank was a “Dream come true”.
A heartfelt thank you to the hardworking caregivers who provided exceptional care to Hank. The IWK Hospital, Victoria General Hospital, Colchester East Hants Health Centre, The Palliative Care team and the VON. Hank’s family will be forever grateful for all that Marcus Costandi, Kim McNutt and Emily Stewart have done over the past year.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
A celebration will be held in Hank’s honour on Saturday, June 18th from 2-4pm in his homestead of 40 years at 91 Highway 311, North River.
