Guy Robichaud
1950-2022
RICHIBOUCTOU-VILLAGE, NB – Guy Robichaud 71, of
Richibouctou-Village passed away peacefully at the Dr. George-L.
Dumont University Hospital Center in Moncton on Saturday, February 19,
2022. Born in Saint-Charles, he was the son of the late
Felix Robichaud and late Madeleine
(Doucette).
He was a volunteer fire fighter for the Richibouctou-Village
Fire Department, St. John Ambulance and in his community. He
worked for many years at A.A. Albert and Captain
Dan’s.
Work was Guy’s life. Over the years, he
held many positions as a fisherman, plumber, truck driver, electrician
but his passion was a loader operator as he stayed at it for many
years (most of his career) and always talked about it and how his Cat
980 ran, how many tons of material they made thru the week.
It was his calling and he liked it. He was a jack of all
trades and it suited him well from electrical work to plumbing and
carpentry. He was always there and willing to give a helping
hand to anyone that needed it. He held a special place in
his heart for his family, especially his daughter, Emma that he lost
at a young age and his wife and son who will miss him very
much.
Guy will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 48 years,
Simone (Thibodeau) Robichaud; one son, Yves Robichaud (Nadine) of
Grande-Digue and two grandchildren, Samuel and
Gabrièle.
He is also survived by four sisters, Geneva Chevarie (late
Ovila) of St. Louis, Bernadette Robichaud of Richibucto, Marie-Reine
Hébert (Roger) of St. Louis, Gilberte Robichaud of Ottawa;
one brother, Ola Robichaud of Richibouctou; sisters-in-law, Emerise
Robichaud of Saint-Charles, Helena Arsenault, Louisa Gray both of St.
Louis, Anne-Marie Robichaud of Rogersville; brother-in-law, Frank
Després of Moncton; special nephew Aquila Robichaud
(Denise) of Aldouane as well as many other nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter,
Emma; six sisters, Anna, Aurela, Noëlla, Emma, infant Marie,
Dorice and seven brothers, Emery, Eloi, Yvon, Gérald, John
Paul, Léon and Claude.
