Gregory John Lalonde Thursday November 24th 2022

In loving memory of Gregory John Lalonde who passed away on Thursday, November 24th, 2022 at Health Sciences North at the age of 61. Beloved son of Vincent and Hylda (Ritchie) Lalonde both predeceased. Cherished brother of Deborah Lalonde and lovingly remembered by his nephew Andrew Lalonde-Welby. Greg will be missed by his many family members.
Greg was born in Sudbury, spending his teenage years in Guatemala and Assumption College in Windsor, where he graduated. He would later move west to Lake Louise in Alberta to enjoy his passion for cooking as a Sous Chef at the renowned Chateau Lake Louise and of course skiing. After returning to Sudbury, he worked as a Network Administrator and Instructor (too many designations to list) at Everest College, and then went on to proudly work at the Sudbury Tax Centre, in a supporting role.
Along with his passion for cooking, he was a National Member of the Canadian Railroad Historical Association, had a keen interest for war history and devoted himself to family. Greg loved life, loved to learn, loved to teach and loved to laugh. He will be remembered for his compassion and sharp wit.
At Greg’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation will take place. If desired, donations can be made to the Canadian Railway Museum in St. Constant, Quebec (www.exporail.org)
Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Homes.
