Passed away peacefully on May 13, 2022 at the age of 60.
Dear soulmate, best friend and husband of Carol (nee Szarka) married for 36 years. Loving father of Ryan and Sarah (Vince). “Pops” to his favourite grand-puppies Mavrick and Archie. Dear son of Bernice and late Edward “Ted” Merner. Brother to Mike (Wendy), Michele (Bill), Nicole and their families. Son-in-law to late Joe and Ina Szarka. Brother-in-law to Joe (Maureen), Dennis (Judy) and their families.
Gregg was known as Mr. Fix it, you name it, he fixed it. Loved spending time in his back yard, having friends over in the pool. He kept and maintained a meticulous manicured lawn and landscaping. Gregg “Captain” and Carol “1st Mate” were avid boaters (“Time 4 Us”) and members of Windsor Yacht Club
.
His career started at Chrysler Canada and perused his career in Human Resources which lead him to other employers and finishing his career with KB Components. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him, both family and friends.
Memorial Visitation at Families First, 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor, 519-969-5841 on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 3-5 and 7-9pm.
