Greg Smith Sunday April 17th 2022

Gregory Allan Smith of Harriston passed away surrounded by family at Guelph General Hospital, on Sunday, April 17, 2022, in his 74th year.
Loving husband of Dianne Smith. Father of Jason Schmidt, Lisa & Dave Lubbers, Cheryl Sheppard, and Melissa Schmidt & Clay Schofield. Grandfather of Kassandra Lubbers, Kameron Lubbers, Zowie Decunha, Carmen Decunha, and Griffin Schofield, and great-grandfather of Dakota and Rydley.
Greg loved shopping. He couldn’t turn down a good bargain or any yard sale. An avid outdoorsmen, he especially enjoyed fishing and camping. He loved eagles and had a large collection of memorabilia of them.
His new family and pets were very important to him and changed his life for the best over the past few years.
He loved to cook, sometimes even when he wasn’t home. And he knew a ‘very’ special way to blow up eggs.
No matter where Greg went there was always someone who knew him and he would stop for a chat. A smile was often upon his face and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The family would appreciate if everyone would wear a mask.
Interment in Memory Gardens, Breslau.
Memorial donations to Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
